My research interests lie primarily in syntax, semantics, the syntax-semantics interface, language universals and variation. I am particularly interested in theoretical approaches to the study of Chinese languages, including Chinese dialects, minority languages, and sign languages. More broadly, I am interested in parametric approaches to the study of comparative grammar, with a special focus on Asian languages.
